EARLY BIRD GIFT GUIDE: Zoku® Duo Quick Pop™ Maker Review

Want to be the best aunt ever? The favorite uncle
or the spoiling grandparent? I have the coolest gift idea
the kids will love and can also be fun and healthy too!

What kid (or adult really..) does not love Popsicles,
cream sicles, or flavored ice pops?

Making your own can be so much fun and alot more
healthy, but what kid wants to wait ALL DAY for them
to freeze and be ready to enjoy?

You seriously need to check out the
I highly recommend the Quick Pops Recipe book as well
its full of great ideas as well as tips and ideas of what to
use and what not to use to make the best pops.
This little gizmo is the coolest thing ever! No electricity or
batteries needed! Just keep in your freezer! You can freeze
three batches ( 6-2oz. pops total) of your own homemade pops
right in front of you! The first batch in 7 minutes, the second batch
in about 9 and the third about 11..the longer the base sits out
the longer they take to freeze faster but still so much fun for the
kids to watch it happen. It also takes longer if you choose to
do designs and layer the pops or make an inner layer.
It is for sure a fun family night activity!
We got out a few random ingredients after
we chose some ideas from the Quick Pop
recipe book and had fun making them. I think
because you do have to freeze the base after
three batches for another 24 hours it would be
fun for our family size to have the Zoku® Quick
Pop maker that makes three pops at a time and
can move a little faster. We made up the purees
we wanted to have all before we took the
base out of the freezer so they were ready to go.
For the first batch we added a few bananas inside the base
against the sides, added the sticks then poured in a
strawberry layer and a banana layer and patiently waited...
Once the time was up you screw on the pull tool and it pops them
out for you easily. Unscrew and lift it out and you are ready to
enjoy a delicious homemade pop made by you!
The Strawberry Banana Pops were really good and the kids
ate them super quick, and it was nice to know what as in
them. We also tried the Pumpkin Pie recipe, it was good too..
but the kids were not so sure they liked the strong pumpkin
flavor to it. I think I would cut down a little of the pumpkin
and add a little more vanilla pudding layer. It as fun to try!
You can see the pudding layer above but my layers were
not very obvious. The next batch we made was CPB
(Chocolate Peanut Butter) You have to heat both layers
on the stove when you make it, but it was really quick
and easy. Each layer is made with PB, sugar, water,
milk, pinch of salt, and a few other things. For some reason
they didn't work too well to come out of the base..we let it
set longer and tried a few things but it didn't attach to
the stick very well, we need to try that one over but the taste
was super good and we still ate them. YUM!

We used the vanilla mixture base and also made some
other pops with added fruit pieces of kiwi, strawberry and
raspberry. Very yummy! We added a few chocolate chips
to some and some of the strawberry layer as well.
Don't they look delicious! So much fun!
So many great recipes on our list of what we want to try both
fancy like these and a little more simple juice pops.
We have some mini cookie cutters we plan on adding some
apple cutouts as well as some other fun designs!
The fun can almost be endless!

If you check them out on Amazon or William-Sonoma
you can see the fun kits they also sell to help add even
more fun to making them with as well as many tools to help
you get creative and storage for your complete pops! Zoku Duo Quick Pop Maker
