Barefoot Books Review & Giveaway

 

In our home we try to make books a big part of our kids

lives, we love that they bring out imaginations of new as they

learn about new things real life or fairytale.We have overflowing

bookshelfs in each of the kids bedrooms, stacks of books in the

playroom and randomly all around the house they can be found. 

We read nightly as a family and also the kids individually. 

Sometimes they get pretty upset when they don't have that time

to read and explore the books they enjoy. They get new books 

for almost every holiday, we purchase them through school 

programs and visit the library often in the summer and take part

in their fun activities, we love to find fun new books and visit new

bookstores both on and offline. 

I was searching for a few books online when I came across 

Barefoot Books and liked the look of their selection and website. 

They cover a variety of topics, including ABCs and 123s, animals,

princes and pirates, fairytales, adventure stories, environmental

friendliness, games, multiculturalism and much more so you have a

great variety to choose from in the age ranges newborn to 12+. 

We were sent three selections to review and have enjoyed 

the quality and fun in these books!

Kids Kitchen is more of a recipe collection that is perfect for

starting your little ones to help in the kitchen  making some fun

and unique treats and meals. It comes in a colorful sturdy

box that opens from the top and is great to keep them all

nice and organized. The card deck is made of thick paper

so it will last and easy for little hands help with.

 40 recipes are based around the five main food groups, 

and are color coordinated with easy to follow recipes.  

Eggs 'n' Beans

Fantastic Fruits

Milk 'n' Dairy

Spuds 'n' grains

Vital Vegetables

We love the fun illustrations with each recipe as well,

here is a little sneak peak of a few of them!

 Additional information also includes a little about each category, fun facts, 

health benefits and what they do for you as well as kitchen and food safety

 We were also sent the chapter book Winter Shadow for my oldest to read

about Maria and how she comes across a mysterious gray bundle 

that ends up being an cute little abandoned wolf cub. Even though

many villagers and her family are not agreeable with her plans to take care

of the abandoned cub she does so anyway and soon they are both loved

by the hearts of many. She has really enjoyed this story and likes to tell

her brother and sister about each thing that happens.

 As well as the other selection we received you can see the artwork

included throughout the book are high quality and look great!

She loves it included a few pictured to help her bring the story more

to life in her mind as she read. 

The third item we received to review was this

Hardcover book: The Barefoot Book of Faeries

 Lots of fun pictures to make you smile and a little fairytale fun

learning about the different kids of faeries!

 Poems, stories and legends fill the inside of this great read with

a sprinkle of magic and humor as they are introduced to fairyland!

They can even listen to the included CD while in the car or playing

in their rooms to enjoy more fairytale land fun.

 

 I liked the combination of the stories, poems and legends to give 

the kids a variety to enjoy.
