SchoolLockers.com Review and Giveaway

School Lockers

I am super excited about this fun review!
Check this awesome locker out..so much fun, so many memories
and super cool for a pre-teen/teen to sport in their bedroom!

When the box arrived I was so excited to dig right in and get this
thing built. The instructions were a bit vague and the panels were
not marked as to where they needed to go, it took a second to look
them over to make sure I was getting them in the right spot.
I didn't want to think I was doing it right to find out I would have to take it
apart and start over...there are way to many screws to mess with that!
Another odd thing was there were three random screws that were
longer than the rest of the package. I am not sure if there were
suppose to be a total of four longer ones (would make more sense)
or what, either way it still came together pretty easy and the only
real time was tightening all the screws a little once I had them all in place.
You can decide on two shelf heights and add the hanging hooks
to multiple places depending on your needs or wants.
The look and style of these School Lockers remind me of being in High School
for sure. They are the same heavy duty doors and great quality from
what I can tell. I loved that the kids lockers are manufactured with the same
high quality you would expect from their larger more professional lockers.
These lockers are great for storing all your kids gear for sports, dance,
and other activities they may acquire a lot of stuff you need to find a place for.
With all the fun colors they offer you could add them to a preschool
or daycare room for keeping the childrens personal items separated
and they will always know where to find them. You can line the toy
room with them to help organize the clutter and fill each locker with toys,
dress-ups, books, puzzles, games and more to create a fun unique look
compared to a basic bookshelf or storage bins. Great to line a walkway
into your home, a corner in the garage, the laundry room, or mudroom
to store seasonal clothing, jackets or school supplies when not in use.

We added this locker to my sons room, right away I thought the black
would look great and go well with his sports themed room and give him
a set space to store all his baseball gear during the season so I am not
left minutes before the game running about helping him round up everything.
(His room is still in progress..Sheetrock done..now just need to mud and tape! Yay)

The girls are so jealous and have added a key lime green and
dino purple kids locker to their birthday and Christmas wish lists already!
You can add so many fun embellishments to them with baskets,
locker fillers and magnets..I can see it now. My girls will have them filled
with love notes and pictures of the boys they like in no time LOL.
Guess it will give them a head start for the Junior High/High School years!
We added some school supplies first off and think we need a few more in his
room to help organize that and help keep his homework in check too!
Nothing is worse than lost shoes or homework as your ready to walk out
the door to school. Routines, consistency and organization is key!
Another spot I am loving it in, is the workout room!
Before I added it to my sons room I was debating all the awesome
places I could use the style and storage. One spot I think these lockers
would also benefit include our workout room!
(Yep, still in progress to! Joys of finishing a basement! Wondering about the lovely
carpet too? It came already in the basement and is only temporary!)
I would so love to line the wall with them. We don't wear shoes in the
house and so I like to keep a pair in the workout room. Right now we
have no place to put anything. These lockers would be fabulous to hold
some hand towels, your water bottles, shoes, place to stash your
cell phone or work out clothes. You name it.

So may fun places to add a unique style for your storage solutions!
I am sure once my sons friends see the new addition to his room, they are
going to be begging for one too!

These awesome kid lockers come in nine colors: royal blue, hot pink,
dino purple, cardinal red, key lime green, sunflower yellow, california
orange, snowflake white, or midnight black.

House Party: Pull-Ups

Disclosure : We have received product(s) or services mentioned in the post featured for free in the trade that I would share it with you in a open and honest review.  Our family  recommends products or services we have used and reviewed personally and these are our own opinions/results during our review and may differ from your own opinions or experiences. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising. This post was in connection with being a House Party Host.  All opinions are our own. Thanks.

I am sure ready for another "Big Kid" in the house,
if you know what I mean.
Although I love my little guy
being little, I am ready to move on from the diaper
changing stages in life..one milestone I am excited to
meet in the stage of growing toddlers. I love the age
and curiosity they have, the determination and willpower
and over all cuteness... but when it comes to potty
training boys that stubbornness and determination going
in the opposite direction can be frustrating on a mom trying
to potty train. I think watching for signs are huge when it
comes to the readiness of a toddler ready to transition to
being a big kid and using the potty for good, saying goodbye
to diapers forever. My girls were pretty easy, but my older
son took much longer and liked to change his mind alot to
when he wanted to go and when he didn't. At 18 months
he was all about going on the big boy potty and loved to go
to Grandma and Grandpas house to do so..at home, not so
much. Because he wanted to and had the interest I really
stressed over it and worked hard to try to make it happen.
He was not so much on my side of the idea and I finally
gave up until he was almost three and life was much easier.
So now 10 years later I am at that point again with my
youngest son, I was done with diapers and potty training
years ago..or so I thought. I am thrilled for my little guy
and his attitude towards new things. Just before his second
birthday he was always wanting to go in the bathroom
and play..so we started talking about what a bathroom is
for, decided to purchase little boy underwear and a seat
that fits on the toilet so that he has seen these things, would
learn what they are and it won't be all new and different to
him once we decided it was time to potty train. The first two
weeks in just underwear was AWESOME! He did so
well, no accidents at home or on the go. When we had to be
out of the house I always made sure to have pull ups on
him as a back up. When my other kids returned from summer
at their dads house two weeks later things changed...our old
routine and schedule he wanted back, as well as diapers!
He wanted things like they were, I am not sure if he was afraid
they would leave for a month again or what but he wanted
nothing to do with his new lifestyle of no diapers and it
started to be a daily fight to get him to even go into the
bathroom and try and all day pull ups were now common.
We finally returned to diapers after weeks of fighting him,
I gave up. He still goes on the potty...when he wants to.
That is all. You cant't make this kid move any more than
he wants to.

I was excited to get the chance to host a
House Party for Pull-Ups and hopefully bring back the
fun and excitement to a 2 1/2 year old for potty training.
It worked..for a little bit. We invited friends over for treats,
talk about potty training and introducing them all to
Pull-Ups and bring big kids. We watched a movie about steps
and ways to help make it fun and exciting.

Its still hit and miss at our home, but I am
glad I have pull ups to back up those moments when he
absolutely refuses to be a big boy..oh do I have stories on
his refusal "i'm a baby" tactics, but I wont go there.

If you are in the potty training stages of life...
give Pull-Ups a try to help you out!

Thank You Pull-Ups for helping this mother out!

Centrum® Flavor Burst® Multivitamin Chews

Disclosure : We have received product(s) or services mentioned in the post featured for free in the trade that I would share it with you in a open and honest review.  Our family  recommends products or services we have used and reviewed personally and these are our own opinions/results during our review and may differ from your own opinions or experiences. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising. This post was part of a Smiley360 product review. We recieved one full sample blottle for our review. all opinions are our own.Thanks.

If you are a busy Mom like me and also hate pills in general,
Centrum® Flavor Burst® Multivitamin Chews are an easy and
tasty way to get your daily multivitamins.
This adult multivitamin supplement
has a gummy chew-able inside vitamin core to contain
healthy B vitamins for energy and vitality and
Vitamins C & E to help support your immune system.

I have been taking these vitamins for two weeks now
and don't mind the flavor or consistency at all. I am glad
to be doing my health good and adding those extra
nutrients to my daily diet. My husband thought they were
a little odd but also doesn't mind them. My only concern
is they truly look like gumballs and candy, my older kids
have comment on just that many times. Although we keep
them high up in an unreachable spot in the kitchen
I can see them being an issue in that way, in a household
where it wasn't seen as much of a concern. I have always
found it odd when vitamins are made to be more candy
or fruit snack looking for that reason. As long as properly
taken care of I think the fun colors and yummy looking
aspect of them can be great. In general I am happy
with the flavor and ease of taking a daily vitamin.

My Herbal Essences Naked Collection Experience

Herbal Essences Hair Care

I am loving the Herbal Essences Naked Collection!
No joke, its been fabulous!

For years I used expensive top of the line Salon products
that I absolutely loved...but they come with one thing I
couldn't keep up with having a large family. The price!
I have since purchased a variety of hair products and
haven't ever been consistent because there hasn't been
one I have fallen in love with completely but one we tend
to get more often is Herbal Essences brand so I was
super excited when the offer arose to try out the new
Naked Collection. I have heard so much talk about
dry shampoos but have yet to venture out and grab
a bottle to try out for myself. I tested out the Naked
Volume Dry Shampoo and can I just tell you how excited
I am to have an option camping and on the go where
I can give my do a refreshing boost and my hair can still
look and feel more clean even when I can't take the time
or have to miss a regular wash due to camping or traveling.

I was really amazed how much it does to your hair. I
though no way it was going to make my hair look and
feel less oily..but wow, this stuff is pretty neat! The dry
shampoo has a natural tapioca formula that absorbs
excess oil and somehow transforms your unwashed
hair into a much fresher state. Awesome! A quick spray
onto your scalp, massage into your roots, brush and
your ready to style and go!

I have also really enjoyed the shampoo and conditioner.
I normally have VERY thick hair so volume has never
really been a problem and its not a specific product
enhancement I would have normally bought for that
reason. Needless to say my psoriasis has done a
number on my hair thickness the last 2-4 years and
my super thick hair has really lost alot of its filler and
no longer has the full volume it once did. It still is alot
fuller and thicker than alot of peoples but to me its been
a huge change so I was excited to see if it would help
get my volume back I was missing. So far it has
actually made a difference! The Naked Volume
Shampoo and Conditioner restores your hairs natural
body because it has no extra heavy residues, dyes and
parabens that weigh down your style. After my first
wash I could tell right away the volume difference as
I blow dried my hair. Because it has zero heavy residue
it really does give your hair a clean luscious bounce
as they claim. The conditioner is great to leave my
hair feeling soft and silky unlike the kind I had currently
in my shower. I hate when you expect a conditioner to
give you that clean soft feel and it leaves you with
a rough tangled mess! I was excited this conditioner
kept up to my expectations.

The last product I tested out was their Naked Volumizing
souffle. I decided to mousse up my recently washed tresses
into my natural wavy style my husband loves and see if it
added volume and fullness and it seemed to do pretty good.
The grapefruit/minty smell wasn't too bad either.
It must have made more difference that I even noticed
because for some reason I got alot more complements on
my hair that day then I ever do!

Over all I really like this kit and will definitely
purchase it again in the future, these are my own
personal opinions on the products. Your view
may differ and your experience my vary as well.
After all everyone is unique and we all have different
hair textures, conditions and such. I for one was
happy with the outcome I experienced.

**Hopefully video to come :) I uploaded it but the code isn't working.
Hope to get that fixed soon.

The winner of the SportsKid of the Year this year goes to

Jack Wellman of Newtown, Connecticut
childsplaypr.com passed along this great story and information
for us to share with you!

JACK WELLMAN is the 2013 SportsKid of the Year

Like most kids, Jack Wellman loves sports. Until last year, he wrestled and played football and lacrosse. But then a bad injury sidelined him. Instead of sitting out, Jack decided he wanted to stay involved and give back by coaching. Even though he was just 13, he became a valuable mentor to a group of young wrestlers.

Jack's leadership, kindness, and spirit were exactly what his community of Newtown, Connecticut, needed when it suffered a terrible tragedy last winter. It inspired Jack to be as active as ever. He found ways to help his town heal through sports and beyond. Jack's big heart and determination to help his community are why he is the 2013 Sports Illustrated Kids SportsKid of the Year.
